Departure Update

This goes against my idealistic nature to post this plain old update without any fun pictures, but it's all I have time for right now and you are LONG overdue for an update!

Q: When are you guys leaving?
 We are still aiming for an early October departure!

Q: What does that depend on?
1. Fulfilling our requirements by the mission, which we are on track to do.
2. Having 100% of our monthly support raised.

Q: How close are you to being fully supported?
Today, we are at 83%. We have $815 more/month to raise to reach 100%.

Q: How much longer do you have to raise your remaining 17% ($815/month)?
Until Sept. 2 (THREE WEEKS) as far as Africa Inland Mission is concerned. 
Until August 16th (ONE WEEK) as far as we are concerned. This is when we will need to give Michael's notice to work if we are really going to leave October 2nd. If God provides 95% of our support by August 16th, we will take that as confirmation that it's time to give his notice.

Q: Do you think you'll be able to make your departure date?
It is definitely within reach, but we just don't know yet. We hope so!

Q: When will you go if you don't get to go in October?
Our next target will probably be around Christmas time.

We can't wait to start our ministry at Rift Valley Academy! We already have furniture purchased and waiting in a home for us on campus! More importantly there are students in need of mentors and a Chemistry teacher, a staff in need of some reinforcements, and Africans in need of the gospel! We are just itchin' to get there!
